
registration terms & conditions
By signing the registration form and/or making full or partial payment of membership fees, players and parents/guardians agree to the following Terms and Conditions of the Port Melbourne Soccer Club (PMSC):
We have read and agree to be bound by all Club policies, rules, regulations, codes of behaviour and guidelines as published on the Club’s website, and we agree to comply with all Football Victoria (FV) and Club Codes of Behaviour, including the Spectator Code of Behaviour.
We understand that the Player Registration Fee covers costs associated with playing for the Club, including association registration fees, coaching, referees, facility hire, utilities, insurance, equipment, and training and playing gear, which remains with the player.
We agree to pay all fees by the deadline specified by the Club. Fees must be paid via bank transfer using the Club’s provided details. Players with outstanding fees will not be permitted to train or play unless a payment plan has been approved by the Treasurer and Committee. All agreed payment plans must be maintained to remain eligible to play.
We understand that registration fees are non-refundable. In extraordinary circumstances, such as injury or other significant reasons that prevent a player from participating in the full season, a written request for a refund may be submitted to the Committee for consideration. Certification or appropriate evidence (such as a medical certificate) confirming the player's inability to participate must be provided with the request. No refunds will be available once the season proper has commenced.
We acknowledge that while the Club holds an insurance policy for injuries sustained during Club activities, it may not cover all medical or related costs. Any shortfall in expenses is our responsibility.
In the absence of a parent or guardian, we authorise the Club to seek any necessary medical or emergency treatment for our child/children and agree to cover any resulting costs.
We consent, unless advised otherwise in writing, to the use of our child/children’s name, image, and likeness for Club-related promotional, broadcasting, or reporting purposes in any media before, during, or after the season.
We consent to our child/children’s contact details being shared with Club officials such as coaches and team managers for Club-related communications.
We understand that soccer is a contact sport and agree to hold the Club harmless from any claims relating to injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation in Club training sessions or games.
We agree to reimburse the Club for any loss or damage to Club equipment, including playing strips, caused by our or our child/children’s negligence.
We agree to reimburse the Club for any fines issued by Football Victoria due to behavioural breaches by our child/children or ourselves.
We acknowledge and agree to the Club’s dog policy: dogs must be kept on a lead and under full control at all times while at the venue.
