Any breaches of the code of conduct will be referred to the Football Committee for arbitration and disciplinary action. Serious infringements will result in match bans and/or potential suspension or expulsion from the Club.

CODE OF CONDUCT - PARENTS, CARERS & SPECTATORS

All spectators of our game have a responsibility to promote respect and good behaviour to ensure our clubs, and our game is free from physical and verbal bullying and abuse.

All spectators and parents must abide by the Club’s Conditions of Entry and demonstrate good quality behaviours that provide a welcoming environment for our sport.

PARENTS, CARERS & SPECTATORS

Encourage children to participate, do not force them.

Remember that children play sport for their enjoyment, not yours.

Focus on the child’s efforts and performance rather than winning or losing.

Encourage players to always participate in accordance with the rules.

Never ridicule or scold a player for making a mistake or losing a game. Positive comments are motivational.

Applaud good play by all teams. Congratulate all participants upon their performance regardless of the game’s outcome.

Respect our team’s opponents – without them there would be no game.

Respect the decisions of Match Officials as being fair and called to the best of their ability and teach children to do the same.

Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, race, colour, religion, sexual orientation, language, politics, national or ethnic origin.

Demonstrate appropriate social behaviour by not using foul language or harassing Players, Coaches, or officials.

Parents, Carers, and Spectators are not allowed on the field or training grounds during games or training sessions but may watch training from the club pavilion.

Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities.

Parents and Carers are not to raise comments or concerns with Coaches before, during, or after training sessions and any game days. If you have any concerns or complaints, please submit them to the Team Manager.

Respect the facilities that are being used.

Behave in a manner acceptable to the Club. At all times treat the Coaches, Officials, other members and spectators with respect in regards to their decision making and not interfere with training or match day games. Foul language or violence will not be tolerated by the Club and will incur serious consequences/penalties.

Comply with all Conditions of Entry including provisions relating to security screening, intoxication, and items that are prohibited by law or restricted by policy from being brought into the Venue.

Contact the Coach or Team manager if your child is unable to attend training or match day.

Obey reasonable instructions and requests made by your Coach and the Club.

Play for the fun of playing, and not just to please your parents or coaches.

CODE OF CONDUCT - COACHES & TEAM MANAGERS

Every participant in our sport has a role to play in ensuring that the game is free from physical and verbal bullying and abuse, and that it is played in a competitive and fair manner.

All participants of our game have a responsibility to promote respect and good behaviour. Club leaders, Coaches and Team Managers must demonstrate the behaviour that they expect their players and spectators to follow.

COACHES & TEAM MANAGERS

Place the health, safety, and welfare of the participants above all else.

Respect the rights and worth of every person, regardless of their age, race, gender, ability, cultural background, sexual orientation, or religion.

Remember that children play for the fun and enjoyment and that winning is only part of their motivation and development.

Never ridicule or yell at players for making mistakes or losing a game.

Teach your players to abide by the rules and Laws of the Game and to play within the spirit of the game.

Develop and enhance respect between Players, opposition Coaches and the decisions of Match Officials.

Ensure that equipment and facilities meet a reasonable safety standard and is appropriate to the age and ability of the players.

Modify your approach to suit the skill levels and needs of players.

Be fair with your expectations of players' time, energy, and enthusiasm, tailoring your engagement to their age, maturity, and skill levels.

Do not smoke whilst supervising or coaching teams.

Refrain from attending training sessions, matches, or any official club activities if under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances.

Coaches and Team Managers are required to report to senior Club Officials any player who is found to be attending or attempting to attend training sessions, matches, or any official club activities under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances.

Do not tolerate abusive, bullying, or threatening behaviour by players, parents and carers, and spectators and report any incidents to Senior Club Officials.

Follow the advice of a physician, or listen to your player, when determining the extent of a player’s injury and beyond that, when players are returning from injury to training and game scenarios.

Help everyone (player, official, etc) reach their potential - respect the talent, developmental stage and goals of each person and compliment and encourage with positive and supportive feedback.

Remember the actions of yourself and your team is reflective of the perception others take away with them.
